We do encourage each individual to have access to the most-current version of Vectorworks software available. That being said, we have known some participants to share a seat next to a co-worker or study partner while they are enrolled and learning the software. Vectorworks offers a Free 30 day evaluation copy to any professional, and offers complimentary licenses to individuals that are enrolled in an accredited educational institution. Tangably is not considered an educational institution. We serve as an independent team training consultant to creative organizations.

Our instruction platform is web-based. So you can follow along and participate with audio and video meetings and prepared instruction on virtually any device that can access the internet and has a web browser, a microphone and webcam. Some participants even keep up with instruction on mobile phones or tablets as they are on the go to the next site visit.

That being said, we encourage you to follow along the pace of instruction by developing documents within a current licensed seat of Vectorworks, on robust computer hardware. Instruction and study is often better for most in a quiet environment free of distraction with broadband internet. We record all of our video sessions and live interactions, but we don’t publish sessions publicly unless we have express written permission from all participants. If you are not interested in showing your face on video of any of our interactions, simply turn off your camera. If you choose to keep conversations about your workflows and projects confidential to your organization, we suggest engaging in team-focused training with our SpecOps offering.

Depending on an individual's experience in their profession we have found that most creatives, even those with many years of experience with Vectorworks software, gain a great deal of value from participating in training offerings with Tangably. (Doesn't the Vectorworks company offer training?) Tangably has been in the business of training creative organizations on Vectorworks workflows since 2014. Our founder Jacob Dale Peters has been using and teaching Vectorworks professionally for more than two decades. In this time we have seen various training resources and strategies (or lack thereof) come and go from the Vectorworks company. Truly, it appears to us that the Vectorworks company thinks of training as an afterthought and a loss leader, which is why their content often comes across as marketing spin. Tangably focuses more on the needs of the organization and their creative teams of professionals in a broader spectrum of technical solutions. If we know of a better way, a faster tool, a shortcut, it’s our business to teach that to you. In other words, we are not in the business of selling software seats, we are in the business of optimizing your business.

You may not have heard of Tangably, even though we have been in the business of Vectorworks training since 2014. We have found that even though we create massive change for creative organizations, our customers are reluctant to share the ‘secret’ with other organizations that may be in direct competition with them. Tailored on-site training and regional workshops used to be our core business model in the early years of business. Those in-person interactions still hold a warm place in our heart. Although, the past decade of technical improvements in meeting, video, hardware, and software improvements have truly revolutionized our ability to learn and support as distributed creative teams. What we find is that remote-first asynchronous learning is more inclusive of people of all learning styles and needs. Therefore, the vast majority of support we offer to teams and creators is remote-first. Remote allows us to meet with you in a matter of days and get tailored team training rolling in a matter of weeks, rather than the months we used to have to wait in scheduling everyone to be in the same room at the same time. Tangably offers two speeds of learning in 2024. Consistent and Accelerated.

Consistent, is tailored for the busy professional or creative organization. We consistently deliver learning content and interactive sessions on a once-weekly frequency. This allows the creators to take a measured approach to their transformation and understanding with their design workflows.

Accelerated, is tailored to the creator that is looking to ‘break-in’ to an industry, make a career change, or otherwise add jet-fuel to their operations. Organizations that choose accelerated may be going through a lull in demand, are looking for ways to keep their team engaged while they wait for the next project to wind up, or are generally looking to overhaul their process sooner rather than later. With accelerated, we increase frequency of learning content and interactive sessions to twice-weekly.

Though we do value continued professional development, we are not currently accredited with any institutions that offer CEC. If there is a particular professional body you feel our instruction qualifies for, please let us know!

Tangably is a ‘remote-first’ US based company. So we don’t maintain brick and mortar storefronts or offices. Although, we do spend a lot of time in the following cities and occasionally travel to meet the teams we support at their headquarters or the next industry trade show or event.

Though Tangably prefers to be seen as a consultant and an embedded coaching and support resource for teams, we have supported some of our larger teams with crafting templates, graphic standards, symbol libraries, and base architectural models of galleries, venues, or event sites.
